Fantastic Achievements for Castle Manor Basketball Teams

2018 has been a particularly successful year for Castle Manor basketball teams.  Whilst Year 11, Year 8 and Year 7  boys all reached their respective area finals, the Year 7 and Year 8 girls and Year 9 boys team all progressed a step further, winning their area finals and reaching the county finals.  Both the Year 7 girls and Year 9 boys unfortunately missed out narrowly on claiming the county title, with games against Farlingaye and Northgate.  However, the Year 8 girls became county champions, a first for Castle Manor Academy, beating Copleston 32-25 in an extremely exciting final at Inspire Academy, Ipswich.

Rob Dovaston Head of PE said  'Each pupil involved in the basketball teams this year has worked extremely hard to develop, not only individually, but as part of a team'

Head of Basketball Kirk Bonas the infuential teacher/coach added '  Everyone should be extremely proud of the progress they have made, especially in such a short period of time. Thry have worked hard'
